With traditional ‘flex style’ belts, strands of wire interfere with each other at the ‘z-bend’ contact points. This design causes the belt to flex, bend, fatigue, and ultimately break as the belt travels around sprockets and nosebars.
In contrast, DuraHinge belts have a true hinging joint. The unique compound joint design eliminates wire strand interference, wire fatigue, and subsequent wire breakage. Production shut downs to fix broken wires and to replace prematurely damaged belts are eliminated so you can run your processing line for high volume production.
