Mectrol Self Tracking Belts

Features and Benefits:

Notched V-guide for tracking
Our self tracking belts utilize our standard timing belts coupled with a specially designed V-guide which is notched for optimum flexibility characteristics. The self tracking belts have a centered V-guide which engages with a corresponding groove on the pulley providing a method for positive tracking of the belt without using flanged pulleys

Polyurethane Body is ideal for timing belts being used a conveying belts
Polyurethane offers extremely good abrasion resistance, much better than traditional neoprene timing belts. Urethane also is resistant to most chemicals, water and oil making it well suited for tough industrial applications.

Steel or KEVLAR Reinforcement
Both steel and
KEVLAR are ideal cords for many conveying applications. They both offer very low stretch which means that re-tensioning and other maintenance is not required. They are also dimensionally very stable under a wide variety of environmental conditions. Parts or products can be positioned repeatably and reliably.
Linear Placement of Cords
All cords in Mectrol’s linear belt are located in the belt parallel to the belt edges and exactly perpendicular to the belt teeth. As opposed to belts that are produced with a helically wound cord, these linear belts will exert little or no side force making them much easier to track. There are never exposed cords at the edge of the belt which can fray and contaminate product.

Low Backlash
Proper selection of belt and pulleys can result in low or zero backlash in the belt and pulley system.

Other advantages
Welded Timing Belts are available in virtually any length
Positive Synchronization
No re-tensioning required
High operating speeds
No lubrication required
High accuracy in molded dimensions

How our clients are using Mectrol Vacuun Belts:

  • Conveying applications where pulley flanges would interfere with the product being conveyed
  • Applications where a side load is caused by cross loading or unloading of the product
  • Conveyors with long center distance where true tracking is critical
  • Linear positioning and conveyor applications where the belt is run on its edge in a vertical position vs. lying flat on a conveyor surface
  • Transport belts
  • Bottling belts
  • Food conveying
  • Confectionairy conveying
  • Meat packing
  • Printing applications
  • Conveying
    • flat glass
    • sheet metal
    • wood products
    • wall board
    • paper products
