Mectrol Linear Belts

Features and Benefits:

Polyurethane Body
Polyurethane is the most wear resistant polymer for timing belts and offers excellent abrasion resistance.

This abrasion resistance means that the belts will be very clean running, with no accumulation of debris.

Polyurethane teeth are much stiffer than traditional neoprene teeth. This reduced tooth deflection means more stiffness in your overall system.

Steel or KEVLAR Reinforcement
Both Steel and KEVLAR offer high stiffness which is critical in a linear timing belt. Mectrol offers a wide variety of no-stretch cords to balance with the required pitch and pulley diameter. This optimizes the performance characteristics required for your application.

Linear Placement of Cords
All cords in Mectrol's linear belt are located parallel to the belt edges, and exactly perpendicular to the belt teeth. Unlike belts that are produced with a helically wound cord, these belts exert little or no side force, making them much easier to track.

Low Backlash
Proper selection of belt and pulleys can result in low or zero backlash in the belt and pulley system.

Other Advantages
Positive Synchronization
No re-tensioning required
High operating speeds
High accuracy in molded dimensions
Resistance to most chemicals
Quiet, smooth running, with no vibration
No lubrication and minimum maintenance
