SIGMA 500 (PDF) This glass microsphere
filled PTFE sheet, blue in color, provides the features of soft
faced reinforced PTFE and is an excellent choice for glass lined
flange applications. Like other PTFE sheets it is impervious to
chemical attack.
SIGMA 511 (PDF) SIGMA 511 is a silica
filled PTFE sheet, fawn in color. It is commonly used in sulfuric
acid applications. Used in sealing all chemicals except molten
alkali metals, fluorine gas and hydrogen fluoride. SIGMA 511 can
also be used for both cold and hot potable water.
SIGMA 522 (PDF) SIGMA 522 is a barium
sulfate filled PTFE sheet consisting of three layers. The off white
barium sulfate filled PTFE is the center layer with virgin PTFE
facings. It exhibits exceptional compression and recovery
characteristics. These features make it a good selection for glass
lined flanges or any other application where loading problems
exist.
SIGMA 533 (PDF) SIGMA 533 a pigment free
barium sulfate filled PTFE sheet generally used in the food and
pharmaceutical industries. Applications include aqueous hydrogen
fluoride, strong caustics, and other general chemical media. It is
however not suitable for sealing molten alkali metals or fluorine
gas.
SIGMA 544 SIGMA 544 is fawn
colored silica filled PTFE sheet with a tanged core. It exhibits
excellent creep resistance. Used in sealing a myriad of chemicals
such as strong acids, solvents, steam, chlorine, except
hydrofluoric acid, molten alkali metals, fluorine gas and hydrogen
sulfide.
SIGMA 577 (PDF) SIGMA 577 is a three layer
PTFE sheet consisting of a center core of SIGMA 511, silica
filled, PTFE with soft virgin PTFE facings. SIGMA 577 can be used
in moderate concentrations of acids, solvents, caustics and
hydrocarbons. The soft virgin PTFE facings makes it an excellent
choice for glass lined components.
