Maryland Belts & Sprockets

The MTS sprockets system features precision matched belts, with metal or polyacetyl sprocket segments. These sprockets come standard with a 2" face width. Unidirectional machined teeth provide self cleaning action necessary in many applications where product consistencies are thick or tend to bind. Many mesh combinations are available for short to medium length process conveyors as well as for certain transfer conveyors.

For hard to track, difficult to drive conveyors or for those prone to product build-up, Maryland offers the MTS sprockets and companion meshes. The system is simple, and conveyors will operate without constant cleaning, adjusting, or replacing.

Positive drive MTS sprockets have teeth which are angled to match the natural parallelogram geometry of spiral mesh openings. The one direction design also effectively channels away debris which falls through the mesh belt. This self cleaning action eliminates build-up on the sprockets - a considerable source of problems with other drive methods. Once the conveyor is aligned and started, the MTS sprockets provide a thorough and consistent positive drive. This positive drive also maintains the belt position during operation. No other steering or tracking method is needed! Even better, the MTS can be driven either in forward or reverse.

Standard meshes and sprockets are available from stock, to meet your demands quickly. The system is easy to install and maintain. Custom meshes and MTS sprockets are readily accommodated. The MTS system is suitable for a wide range of applications. Freezers, cookers, fryers, washers, enrobers, breader and batter units, transfers and toasters are just a few of the current uses.

Whether your conveyors are inches wide or hundreds of feet long, the MTS system meets the challenge. And, speeds of hundreds of feet per minute can be reached effectively.

MTRplus Drive Roll & Mesh system

Tooth profiles and locations match the corresponding mesh belt every time. Progressive machining of the tooth widths from the center point to each edge, builds in contraction/expansion allowances. This means that operation in freezing or oven temperatures can be accomplished while maintaining precise drive roll to mesh engagement!

Individual tooth profiles are configured to allow smooth engagement and disengagement of the mesh. The shape of the teeth also matches the geometry of spiral mesh openings for stability and maximum drive effort.

Belts are fully supported across the width by the MTRplus. Drive tooth engagement is substantial and equalized across the belt width for balanced drive load distribution.

MTRplus rolls are produced complete for installation, including end shafts journalled, with keyway(s) to the size and lengths needed for the specific conveyor.

There are sixteen (16) standard Precision meshes, from coarse, open weaves to fine, tight weaves which are pre-engineered to be exactly duplicated each and every time they are manufactured.

Standard meshes are in stock or can be manufactured and shipped in less than one week in most cases. MTR rolls can be produced and shipped in less than three weeks. This makes the MTR system user friendly for both new and replacement applications; an important consideration in today's fast paced, changing production environment. Custom meshes and rolls are also easily manufactured. Once these custom combinations are specified and produced, they are programmed to MTR standards and are exactly reproduced on future orders. This system takes the worry out of a positive drive situation for good!

If your conveyor needs to be positively driven, regardless of the application, the MTRplus system can save you a lot of time, trouble and money. It is simple and more importantly, it works!
