Wirebelt Accessories
Belt Power Corporation provides some hard-to-find accessories that facilitate use of Flat-Flex belts. These include:
EZSplice, only from Wire Belt, offers you an alternative to the traditional belt splicing method. EZSplice is a single pre-formed, pre-shaped strand made to fit the width and mesh of your belt. This offers you longer belt life, stronger belt joints, and less downtime from failures at the splice which saves time and money.
The EZSplice strand eliminates the weaving of traditional splicing and replaces it with a simple hook and loop method, saving you time. The strength of the EZSplice strand comes from the pre-shaped Z-bend joints. This eliminates the chance of weak points from the bending and straightening of traditional splicing.
Once installed the strand is locked into place by simply crimping down the Z-bend joints of the EZSplice with our Engineered Profiling Pliers
Splice Clips
Splice clips are used for belt splicing and for making fast minor repairs to the belt. They are available in one space and three space units. At least one set of clips is packaged with each belt ordered. If you would like additional clips, these should be ordered at the same time you place your belt order.
Splicing Tubes
Splicing tubes are sometimes used for repairs and splicing in NON-FOOD applications only. These are available for most diameter wires used in Flat-Flex belts. Call Technical Services if you have any questions concerning the appropriateness of using splicing tubes in your application.
Wire Cutters
Wire Belt Company offers compact, light-weight, durable Micro-Shear wire cutters for easier removal, repair and/or installation of Flat-Flex belts. The patented Micro-Shear blade by-pass reduces manual effort and extends the tool's life because the cutting edges do not meet edge to edge. The cutters are packaged in a reusable storage sleeve to help maintain the tool's precision and cleanliness.
